Just read this at science@nasa.

I've always been interested in the Maunder Minimum, or the little Ice Age, of the 1600's. I remember that during that time there were almost no sunspots visible on the sun. I've also read that some solar physicists think there may be a longer sunspot cycle of about 300 years or so.

So, what are your thoughts, could this be the beginning of another cycle of low sunspot numbers or just a temporary slow down?
