I paint landscapes in oils. A favorite theme of mine is recent American industrial ruins. Here's a view on Fishkill Creek in Beacon, NY.
That's wonderful Mapnut. There was an artist that did similar stuff that your work reminds me of - I have at home a book of paintings he did of old railroad stations, but I can't remember his name.
Thanks!

these were just random picture I had taken in Knaresbrough, a beautiful place in Yorkshire.
The grey one in the centre is a picture of the central staicase on the RMS.Titanic, no its not water but sure adds to the dramatic effect don't you think?

Wonderful shots. That Titanic one is downright eerie.
Thanks Mak, it was a background picture and had a glass cabinet infront of it, hence the water effect.

I was down at the coast a while ago....
I call it "Malibu."

That's the Beacon range, the hill is Lamb Hill on the east end. Below is another Beacon factory painting and I did put Mt. Beacon in the background, with the transmitter and the abandoned Dutchess ski slopes. The other painting is on Dunderberg Mountain, across the river south of Bear Mountain. Speaking of art and Beacon, the huge Dia modern art museum is well worth a visit.
Dunno about PETA, but fishes, cats, walls and other entities have been killed all up and down the Hudson Valley.
Henrik Olsen, that's a beautiful image, full of mystery and paradox.
Wow, these are amazing pictures. =D
I have a online t-shirt shop, and this is one of my favorite ones, because it took forever to get the facial expression right. Then of course I realized it looks a lot like a webcomic I absolutely love, so I might get rid of it. But I'm proud, so even though it's ridiculously simple I wanted to share it.
This is the censored version, as a by the way.
[edit] I'm linking this to the photobucket page, because photobucket now decided to be like photoshop and became a butt.
Yay links!
Totally awesome face! Yay links!
[more edit] Ack. Just struck me, I hope this doesn't count as advertising. Mods, if it is, gimme a shout and I'll fix it. I just like background... XD

I did this in an illustration program called Canvas. I modeled it after my own guitar except for the "tie-dyed" pick guard.
Well, I do draw quite a bit, but most of stuff I can show is MS Paint line art because my scanner doesn't work. However I do have a written piece I really like. Unfortunately it still has a few 'bugs' grammar wise I can't figure out how to fix without rupturing the mood.
*ahem*
I have no truth.
My life is but a fiction,
Written,
But never lived,
These hands never felt,
These lungs never breathed
This heart never beat.
***
I am but a shade,
Nay, less then,
For did not the murky spirits of the past,
Once live and breathe as mortal men?
I am but a fixation,
A cunning delusion.
***
Some might say I love,
But that truth is false,
For any who enter my parlor,
Be they men women,
Tall, short,
Thin as stick,
Obese as toad
Frailer than newborn babe,
Muscle bound as meat upon the block,
Dark as night,
Pale as moonlight,
All.
***
I have loved all, and have not loved any,
To all comers I am theirs alone,
I could not be unfaithful if I wished it for a thousand sun's deaths,
Until my next visitor,
I be what they wish, whatever that may be,
Be it spurning lover or regretted lover spurned,
What ever their dreams conjure upon the light,
I weave my form and mind to that heated fantasy.
***
Have I true mind at all?
Or just some assemblage of random sparks and currents,
Flowing from nothing to nothing,
The figment of a thousand imaginations.
Impressive stuff by many folks. Cougar, I'm not that impressed with your bamboo, so please explain to me why I keep looking at it??? This is using old Corel Draw software, so it has its problems...
I had planned to do each brick separate, but gave up after about half way.
There are 7 crosses in the graphic. Can you find all 7?

Most of my photography's not that great, but every once in a while I get lucky.
