So that's what they mean about Coffee House art.
1) The "Movie" Memphis Belle B-17 was in town. I thought I would have a little fun with the photo I took of it's departure
in photoshop.
2) Exploration Flight Test 1, unaltered, that I took from the NASA causeway.
Cool!
Nice work, Gem!
I've always been an Orion fan and that is a neat looking ship.

Not nearly as good as you folk, but I am pretty proud of it I guess.

Not so much artsy as crafty...but I mentioned this in my DIY thread and thought it might fit here better:
My wife found some moose-looking wrought iron coat hooks that she liked during our last trip to Homer so I promised her that I would make her a robe/pajama rack for the remodeled master bath. Fast forward some weeks to a day out shopping when she actually accompanied me into our local woodworkers' supply without whining and stomping her feet. She found a piece of pine in the cut-off bin that she liked, so I took a timeout from working on our stairway remodel to keep my promise.
First, I whipped up a SketchUp model:
...then turned it into a real boy:
Quick...simple...but worth a couple of brownie points.

I did an illustration I was pretty happy with yesterday:
Yes, it's an anthropomorphic camel riding a feathered Deinonychus-like lizard. Whaaaat?

Does this count as art?
I think it's pretty.
But then I'm an engineer, sort of.

TR6 head? Don't draw it too precise, you'd go beyond the machining precision of the real thing.Lovely engine, if you have a US version: increase the compression ratio slightly by shaving the head, switch to SU carbs but keep the US inlet header. Result: high compression ratio like the European ones, good carbs, good US header. Pulls like a bull without any effort. Erm, art, right.
You can do a bit more than that with a TR6 engine, but this isn't the place.
Glad (hope!) you too think it pretty!

And another (the perspective was seriously hard on this one, but I think it's only a little wonky now)
