Napkin art on the fly. It looks lovely.
I painted A LOT of watercolors when I was living in Japan. Lots of bamboo, lol. I decided to get a booth at our upcoming local street fair and see if I could sell any of these! Turned into a big project! I framed several and matted and bagged (in cellophane) a few dozen others. I think I'll be pricing them way low to clear them out! Should be interesting. Anybody else done an art fair, flea market, anything similar?

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.
Ohh...nice.
I'm always impressed with a pretty water-color. It's a medium that I've never been able to even remotely grasp, myself.
I reworked the image of the mermaid girl. Here is the original from the last page.
I wanted to add some delicate color in markers. I snapped a picture of it,
...but then dropped my marker on the sheet.
Next attempt is coming soon. I wish to heck i knew what these images were from. I thought they were from the Camelot movie poster, but no. Then I thought they were from a series of books from the 60's and 70's. No, again. I even compared them to the mermaid characters in Peter Pan. No dice.
It's really driving me nuts to see these characters, know that they are from something and can't figure it out. The likeness isn't close enough to the original for a reverse image lookup.

Thank you.
I love to paint, but that style is not something that I can work with. I really appreciate the style, though. I wish I had better words, but it sort of boggles my mind in a wonderful way. It is so interesting to see something that your own mind can process but not duplicate. Sort of like the love of music, for a non-musician.

Thank you very much.
Here's another one I finished last week.

Perfect. As soon as I saw it, even before I saw the title, I thought Calvin & Hobbes.
I've been on an Inktober kick. Right now I am doing a copy of The New Mutants #50 cover.
The image above is the original plus a rough draft and then my final layout.
I wanted to go back to my roots and do some stippling. It's a long process. I have a short video of me working on it. Apparently my drawing style drives my daughter nuts and she wanted a video to show her friends. I tend to work standing up where ever I happen to be, paper upside down, swapping hands so I don't get tired. Generally I do art left handed, but she caught me right handed on that day.
Sometimes, I get nervous about some of the details and switch subjects (edit - and styles). I did some spaceships, a sword and a couple of villas.

Nice! J. and I have been trying to play D&and with his friends since May, but we can’t find a time that works for everyone.

I just made a dungeon based on a real map.
It's called Magarven's Last Polyandrion. Magarven is an elven historian and treasure hunter. After a land slide, he finds this tomb and starts to map it. Its near a city so he has all kinds of help and hanger-oners. This is supposed to be his map or perhaps a copy made by someone else. He goes in and charts everything all the way to the strange square section detail on the south end. Then he gets nervous. He digs along the sidewalls on the exterior of the tomb and starts making diagonal lines on the map. About 2/3 of the way in, the diagonal switch directions. He packs up and leaves without exploring the end of the cave.
People won't walk down to the end of the tunnel, even though they can see the end, most because the great treasure hunter, Magarven didn't. Magarven didn't go mad, was not accursed, or anything strange. He simply retired to write an autobiography. If anyone asks for details, he tells them he hasn't written that part, but he will someday.
I lettered details but left them vague so other people can use it for whatever they want.
