Nice!
Nice!
Shades of Star Fleet Battles as well.
In some SFB handbooks--there are triple hull ships

Someone did your first ship in that row

I think I finally got in sync with the design ethic of Star Trek. The first ship is the second ship spun around, re-scaled with a saucer on it. The second ship is an Antelope class ship from Star Smuggler. That ship is triangular, so I doubled everything and added a little neck to it.
(At one time, I was drawing ship deckplans for SFB but Steve broke his leg and I had emergency surgery, so nothing came of it.)

"Overlaps"
Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 36"
I dropped a pen into my bag and it leaked on some of my artwork. I was doing a series of Star Wars: Rebels styled drawings of characters for a game and wanted to redraw some of them that got ruined. I was working from photos of the originals. My son Paul purchased a poster of Rosie the Riveter and it really influenced my style on the redraws. I was working in pencil for the originals, but the new ones are in colored pencils, which I stole from my daughter.
I really like the way it came out and now want to learn how to use colored pencils. The woman in the top image is the same as the bottom image, which I might have shared before. The bottom image is largely based on a submariner's fire fighting kit from the Royal Navy, circa 1980. The top image features the classic Rosie pose and a Mercury era space suit.

When we realize that patterns don't exist in the universe, they are a template that we hold to the universe to make sense of it, it all makes a lot more sense.

I was thinking Terry Frost, but he is a bit different. Our local museum has a whole wing devoted to Frost, but the artwork just outside each presentation area are different artists. Your painting looks a lot like these other artists that I can't name. The Albright-Knox went into a refurbishment phase, so I suspect these collections will be broken up and I won't be able to view them like they used to be displayed.
Your painting is a like a ray of sunshine when you can't get out to the museum.

'Infinite Corners'
Acrylic on Canvas
20"x20"
I like the subtle shadings in the center sections! But the engineer in me wonders if it's 20 inches across the flats or the corners?

Canvas sizes are expressed as h x w. And it is a nice, clean piece.
It’s not art by any means but I did get a bit crafty a few days ago. I’ve been saving the nicer wine corks for some time, to use in some future, unspecified project. I found myself with a couple of spare, rare earth magnets and decided to make a couple of fridge magnets.
I trimmed about a quarter of the thickness with a razor saw and a sanding block, drilled a shallow recess, sealed them with a couple of coats of satin spray acrylic, and stuck the self-adhesive magnets in place.

Man is a tool-using animal. Nowhere do you find him without tools; without tools he is nothing, with tools he is all. — Thomas Carlyle (1795-1881)
But as displayed, the height and width are across the corners....
Ordinary magnets will not stick to our stainless fridge. But they will stick to the stainless dishwasher, range hood, and wall ovens. Maybe the super-dooper ones would stick to the fridge. It’s not art by any means but I did get a bit crafty a few days ago.
