Low temp hit 41F this morning, expecting a low of 39F tomorrow, brrrrr, too close to a frost but after that the lows will be upper 40's to low 50's for a while yet. Sunny today and tomorrow but more rain from the tropics all day on Sunday so that should end the drought and ease the fire hazard. The trees leaves are still holding on for the most part and even look a little greener today, very little fall colors so far.

We dodged a frost this morning at 40F again so the flowers and tomatoes have another week extension of life. Expecting a good rain from Nester passing off the coast tomorrow, 1-2 inches predicted. Dug up most of the remaining sweet potatoes today so they wouldn't crack from too much rain////Advil helps there.

About 10 to six in the morning, 5C not mush of a breeze can't really tell if it clear or not because the west to east rotation of the Earth hasn't caused the sun to appear yet, just gotta finish my coffee and oatmeal before finishing getting ready.

A nice shower rolling thru as I type, the next several days highs will hover around 70F and dry, a perfect autumn so far other than the heatwave during the first couple of weeks of fall. Looks like we'll be picking tomatoes in November of which I cannot previously remember.

2 perfect autumn days in a row here with mostly to party cloudy skies and temps in the mid 70's with a sweet breeze. The tree leaves are starting to turn color now, esp the maples. Rain expected tomorrow but we're still on the dry side (deep ground wise) and more rain is welcome. Still no frost in sight.

We had the hottest day since last summer yesterday at 36.5 C. But it really didn't warm us up much as the day before was only about 28 C and today is just around 23 C.

A gentle rain is falling now with a temp of 67F, mild temps will continue for 5 more days but next Monday's low is predicted at 32F/0C (that one I remember ;-). The late blooming summer flowers may vanish after that, but the cole crops will love it.

After a 37 C day a few days ago today was a complete change. A cold front has come in from the Indian Ocean and there have been persistent showers and strong winds. To make it worse I though that I could get a bike ride in between the showers. I was wrong - I ended up sheltering under a number of trees and gave up in the end and rode home into the teeth of a gale with light drizzle and a temperature of about 14 C.

We got lucky here as the storm front approached last night it lost some steam, still had wind gusts around 40-50mph but the tornado warnings were dropped before it hit here. Did get 0.8 inch of rain which was welcome. No more 70'sF in sight and frost warnings are forecast for the next 3 nights. The trick or treaters had time to get out of harm's way before things hit the fan around 9:30pm.
