That reminds me, I have a friend who lives in the Netherlands, and when she visited Japan she said it was great because she finally had evidence that the sun existed.

The final nice 70'sF day here for a while as the heat & humility return tomorrow and beyond, looking dry ahead too. We rode our tricycle built for two today. We use to ride a tandem bike but it was getting to hard to stop and start for these old legs. The trike advantage is nice, no hard stops or goes (don't tilt to one side). It has separate/duel peddles, breaks, and gears, one shared steering bar. Now we can hear each other talking and see pointing. The rear basket can deliver a 30# watermelon easy. I need to take a pic of it., Spacedudette found it on craigslist last year and it's pretty cool.

Suppose to get to about 20C and sunny today and rain tomorrow. Should try to get the tiller going later.

Almost 30 C here, went out earlier but the blackflies were ready for their first feeding of the season.

We got a brief break from the 90'sF today with an 85F, sunny and still a bit on the dry side. Next week is looking Hot and still dry. A slim shot at rain tonite but it doesn't feel like it.

Another wet day here, nothing on TV until midnight. Only thing I did outdoors was to put the covering of the pop up greenhouse out so the rain can clean it a little.

Today was warm but workable at 85F and a good breeze, trimmed some hedges before it hits the mid/upper 90's over the next 3 daze, ouch. No real rain in sight, a few pop-up storms but they've gone around us. Getting a bit dry now but a flood or a twister ain't worth the rain....until the fires start. Hurricane season begins soon, be nice.

Sunny and bit of a breeze enough to keep the bugs down, I've got a book to finish and a tiller that I should try to keep the belt on.

Rain and rain in the morning like the weatherman on tv, the weather channel and the radio all predicted. Good weather to write a major essay or two.

Today - and the next 4 four or 5 days - beautiful clear sunny skies with the temperature ranging from 8 - 10 C Min. to 24 -26 C Max. It is lovely weather but winter here starts on the 1st of June and, as seems normal over the last 20 years or so, we desperately need rain. We have only had just under 76mm (3 inches) of rain to date this year - the average for this period is about 190mm (7.5 inches)

Yes, storms expected to roll through here in an hour or two, we need the rain here, but go easy on the storm part please. Otherwise a pleasant cooling trend around 80F is a welcome relief next week from these recent stretch of hot 90's.

Well I got the rain and the storm part too. 2.2 inches in 45 minutes with constant tropical storm winds which knocked out the power for 5 hours over nite. No damage done other than having to prop up 3 rows of flattened corn stalks. Glad I got the grass mowed in time.

Sunny, slightly overcast, breezy, wish for more of a breeze to keep the flies, just puttering around in the garden doing other stuff.

Yesterday was another beautiful sunny day (and today is similar) - Min 8 C to Max 24 C. But hey, it is the 3rd day of winter and we need some rain.

3rd day of winter. Blue skies. They predicted this day a week ago, amidst some really bad stormy weather. I'm impressed.

(Edit: Really, I had not read the post above when I posted mine. (I was quoting myself off facebook from a couple of hours ago.) Snap!)

Snap indeed. Same sort of day as we had - but I must admit a slightly better view over Wellington than I had of my garden.

Sunny and breezy, mostly indoor day because have to get ready to go to the high school to see my niece to get an award this evening.

We got clobbered today with 4 inches of rain over 4 hours, some local roads flooded and a dead tree fell across the street from us. No wind involved as my corn is still standing. Several more rainy daze lie ahead with some sunny breaks which create conditions for the storms, temps around 60/80 which is welcome.
